Trelleborg has once again joined forces with Massey Ferguson for the European MF eXperience Tour 2022.

The widely anticipated annual event started in Italy, in mid-February, before travelling to eight other European countries making 24 stops. This was the fourth year for Trelleborg to take part in this exciting tour as a key partner.

Roberta D’Agnano, marketing director at Trelleborg Wheel Systems, said: “The MF eXperience tour lets us engage one-on-one with our end users, allowing us to listen to their needs, while giving them a terrific opportunity to test drive our tires and gain valuable insights into what the latest tire technology developments can do for their operations.”

This tour stands out from more traditional events by bringing Trelleborg experts closer to end users and sharing knowledge. This included the importance of correct tyre pressure, which is crucial not only for improving traction and grip, but also in reducing fuel consumption.

During the tour, Trelleborg showcased some of its newest solutions for agriculture, including the TM1000 ProgressiveTraction tyre with its extra-wide footprint that minimises soil compaction while maximising comfort.

"The XP1000 industrial tyre provides customers moving materials around with optimum traction and minimal vibration to bring greater comfort, increased safety, lower fuel consumption and a longer tire life for more cost effective and sustainable operations," said a spokesman.

Side-by-side performance comparison tests against competitive tires show that the XP1000 tire lasts up to 9% longer with 21% improved endurance and offers a reported increase in comfort of up to 13%, said Trelleborg.

The lightweight tyre features an innovative fibre compound made using recycled materials, saving 866 tonnes per year on materials alone, while decreasing CO2 emissions by up to 110 tonnes per year.

The XP1000 includes Trelleborg’s Pit Stop Line technology which lets operators know the right time to replace their tyres so they can get the most out of them and reduce waste.
