Margaret Phillipson submitted this photo, "Autumn in Wisconsin – Hill Sheep Flock: Scottish Blackface and North Country Cheviot," to our camera club.
Margaret, from Littledale Farm, specialises in high-quality, purebred British hill sheep, particularly North Country Cheviot and Scottish Blackface breeds.
Established in 1984, Littledale Farm is located in Southwest Wisconsin, where the rolling hills provide an ideal home for these hardy, low-maintenance sheep.
Both Scottish Blackface and North Country Cheviot sheep are known for their resilience and thrive on simple feed, making them easy keepers. At Littledale, the sheep are maintained on pasture year-round, with a grass hay mixture added to their diet during the winter months.
