The Farmers Choir story began in July 2013, when past and present members of the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) were invited to join a choir and sing as part of a concert celebrating SAYFC's 75th Anniversary at the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow.
That evening, 160 members from across Scotland took to the stage, totally unaware of the remarkable journey that lay ahead. What began as a one-off performance has transformed into an incredible adventure, as we have found ourselves performing at events all over Scotland, including regular appearances at the Royal Highland Show and raising money for many charitable causes.
To date, they have raised £170,000.

Members of The Farmers’ Choir come from all corners of Scotland – Ayrshire, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Campbeltown, Dumfries & Galloway, Fife, Lanarkshire, Loch Lomond, and Perthshire. Through the choir, members have strengthened old friendships, and many have found new friends.
Together, they sing a lively range of popular songs, many of which are beloved pieces from famous musicals and well-known shows, capturing the hearts of our audiences and adding a touch of fun to each performance.
The choirs' story is still unfolding. The Farmers’ Choir has not only brought music into our lives but has become a powerful reminder of the unity, joy, and connection that music can bring.
From that first night at the Ovo Hydro, Glasgow, to every stage they've stepped on since, their journey continues, and it’s one that they're excited to keep sharing with all of Scotland.
