A post, by the owner Scott McGinlay, announcing the news said: "The rumours are true, we are taking over the formerly known as “BLEND” coffee shop on Causeyside street Paisley.
"We can’t wait for you all to see the plans for the all new PAISLEY PIE CO
"A full refurbishment will be going underway and we hope to be opening the doors this summer
"We will be advertising for more staff very soon. Thank you all for the continued support, From Scott and the team."
Speaking exclusively to The Herald, Scott McGinlay said it's only the beginning for the company.
He added: "The people of Paisley have truly backed our story and have been a massive part of our journey. Hard work and consistency is the reason we have succeeded to date and our great staff who work hard to keep up with demand everyday.
"I started out in Paisley as a caterer eight years ago when I was 25 opening my first shop. I had a passion for pies following in my dad's footsteps and being brought up in the butcher industry fuelled that.
"I eventually saw a gap in the market and decided to branch into the gourmet pie game. Since opening we’ve had a huge success with people coming to Paisley from all over. It's been overwhelming. Everywhere I go, people say are you the 'Paisley pie guy'.
"It's great to be expanding. The new premises will allow us to showcase even more ideas that we have kept up our sleeves for when we have more space to display everything. We will have sit in available for up to 50 customers and a wider variety of pies on sale.
"Future expansion plans are also on the horizon for Paisley Pie Co. The aim is to wholesale our gourmet pies into shops & stores throughout the UK. We will also be looking to open shops in more locations out with Paisley."
