More than 400 pedigree males and just shy of 250 females plus calves have been entered for United Auctions’ Stirling Bull Sales which takes place on Sunday and Monday, October 20 and 21.
The event will feature shows and sales of six breeds – Aberdeen Angus, Beef Shorthorn, Charolais, Limousin, Salers and Simmentals – with a select entry of Herefords also forward.
This year’s October sales also include several production/reduction/dispersal sales from Aberdeen Angus, Beef Shorthorn and Simmental breeders.
Aberdeenshire breeders, Neil and Mark Wattie are selling 70 head from their Tonley herd of pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle alongside, fellow breeder, Neil Massie (jnr) who is staging a reduction of the Morven herd (19 head).
Orkney-based breeder, Colin Davidson will also have his entire crop of 2023-born in-calf heifers (20 head) from the Skaill Angus herd. There will be an additional 20 Beef Shorthorn females for sale too with Gordon Brooke Farming staging a complete farm sale from the Gordon herd.
An added attraction will be the final dispersal of 30 head from the Broombrae herd of pedigree Simmentals on behalf of Gordon Clark, Cupar, alongside a production sale of 55 pedigree Simmental females from MA Barlow and Sons’ Denizes herd.
