WITH a rich history spanning nearly 165 years, Morrison’s Academy has built a strong reputation for academic excellence and providing a well-rounded education for boys and girls from ages two to 18. From Nursery through to S6, Morrison’s Academy’s approach focuses on developing the whole child.

As the school looks to the future, its strong reputation continues to shine brightly. This year, Morrison’s Academy boasts the best Higher exam results in Perthshire, with an impressive 96% pass rate. However, academic success is only one part of the experience.

Andrew J McGarva, Rector at Morrison’s Academy said: “We had excellent exam results this year, Highers in particular, but academic standards are not all that matters – we put much emphasis on developing collaboration and activities that help our young people grow into well-rounded individuals who are caring and curious.”

The school’s dedication to developing the whole child is reflected in its outstanding educational offerings. With diverse opportunities such as Across Scotland expeditions, geography field trips to California and experiences that spark curiosity like enterprise challenges and STEM events, our talented and dedicated staff ensure that each child is supported in exploring their interests and developing their unique talents.

In addition, Morrison’s Academy offers a rich co-curricular programme with over 140 activities and clubs for pupils to participate in. Whether it’s sports, arts, music, or outdoor adventures, there’s something for everyone to explore and enjoy.

“Our size enables us to offer a very personalised approach and teachers work with pupils and parents to ensure young people build confidence, resilience, empathy and the skills they need to integrate well in any situation and with people from all walks of life,” said Mr McGarva.

Developing the whole child is at the core of Morrison’s Academy’s educational philosophy. This ethos involves nurturing a child’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development to ensure they grow into well-rounded individuals. By providing an education that nurtures every aspect of a child’s development, Morrison’s Academy prepares pupils for success in school, work, and life.

The school believes that a well-rounded education is essential for helping pupils reach their full potential and become confident, capable, and compassionate citizens.

Morrison’s Academy regularly contributes to the local and wider community and last week its Scottish Schools Mountain Bike Championship event, held in partnership with Comrie Croft MTB Centre and Scottish Cycling, was a huge success, attracting over 450 competitors from 85 schools across the country.

Mr McGarva continued: “Our goal is to equip our pupils with skill, resilience and confidence by exposing them to as many different experiences as possible, both inside the classroom and out, we want them to flourish now and in their future.”

Regular Open Days take place throughout the year, but tours are available at other times. Simply contact admissions@morrisonsacademy.org for information.
