Increased entries across all sections have been recorded for this year’s Scottish National Fat Stock Club’s winter primestock show, LiveScot, set to take place Friday and Saturday – November 25 and 26 – at Lanark Auction Market.

Entries include 139 pedigree calves and 75 pedigree lambs to be showcased on the Friday night, with LiveScot including just shy of 100 beef cattle, 11 butchers cattle, 40 commercial calves, and just shy of 130 pairs of sheep – it is shaping up to be a big weekend.

The club has committed to supporting the next generation again hosting the Lanarkshire Young Farmers’ calf rally and the SAYFC National Sheep dressing competition. It is also not too late to enter the young handlers for both cattle and sheep – the deadline doesn’t close until 10 am on the day of LiveScot along with entries to the Young Stocksperson competition.

Also on the agenda is the Native Pony Winter Fair along with the showcase of the Dairy industry classes.
