HARRY Emerson’s colt foal notched up another victory, taking the overall championship at the Lanark, Biggar and Peebles Clydesdale Foal show at Lanark Agricultural Centre.

By Arradoul Balvenie and out of Middlebank Carlogie Anna Maria, the March-born foal was brought out from Ronnie and Pete Black’s Collessie stud.

Collessie Flashgirl took the filly foal championship and reserve overall award for Charlotte Young of Hall, Ayr. Another by Balvenie, this one had stood reserve filly foal champion the previous week at Kilmarnock.

Judge, Ronnie Noble of Crossgates, Stewarton, picked out Blackstone Duchess Lady as his senior champion.

This yearling filly, from John and Margaret Duncan is home-bred, by Blackstone Highflyer and out of Aird Millie and stood reserve senior at Kilmarnock.

The second prize yearling filly went on to take the reserve senior title.

This was William Mitchell’s Ainville Lulu from Ainville, Kirknewton. She is by Mollinhillhead Chancer.
