Taking both champion and reserve at the Black Isle were two well-known show winners. The champion came from Eric and Miranda Johnstone, Muir of Ord, with the five-year-old mare, Ord Envy, while David Walker and Beverley Brown from Easter Galcantray, Cawdor, secured the reserve ticket with Kilmaclasser Bonnie Lily.

Clydesdale (Judge: S Greenhill, Leuchars, Fife). Champion – E and M Johnstone, Highfield, Muir of Ord, with the five-year-old mare, Ord Envy, by Dillars Scottie Boy and out of Ord Touch of Class. She was reserve at Nairn, champion at Sutherland and has held the champion of champions title for two consecutive years at the Duthie Park horse show. Reserve – D Walker and B Brown, Easter Galcantray, Cawdor, with Kilmaclasser Bonnie Lily, a three-year-old mare bred in Southern Ireland. She is by Cloondaff Setanta, out Carnaff Bonnie Marie, and stood champion at Ayr and Doune and Dunblane, and champion of champions at Nairn. Gelding, yeld mare – D Walker and B Brown. Mare, foal, one-year-old filly – E and M Johnstone. Two-year-old filly – L Tulloch, Glenburgie, Forres.
