The Clydesdale winner, Muirton Melba, from the Clark family at the Muirton stud at Crieff took the overall in the heavy horse ring to add to her champion of champions win at West Fife. She’s a daughter of Muirton Sabre and out of Muirton Megan.
Leading awards:
Clydesdale (Judge: P Keron, Marefield of Craigs). Champion – Tom Clark and Sons, Muirton, Crieff, with Muirton Melba, a yearling filly by Muirton Sabre and out of Muirton Megan; champion of champions at West Fife. Reserve – S Greenhill with Macfin Ruby, a six-year-old mare sired by Doura High Spirit. She also stood reserve champion at West Fife. Gelding – C Gray, Stonehaven. Yeld mare – A Greenhill, Upper Tulloes, Forfar. Broodmare – S Greenhill. Yearling filly – T Clark and Sons. Two-year-old filly – S Campbell and A Merchant, Parklands, Fettercairn. Yearling male – K Logan, Rose Cottage, Edzell.
