A ram lamb from Martyn Archer's Carry House flock, topped Hexham and Northern Marts' second annual sale of crossing-type Bluefaced Leicesters when selling for £7000.
The T17 tup, a son of Midlock Magic that stood third in his class at the pre-sale show, sold jointly to WS Robson and Co, Otterburn and P and E Teasdale, Sharperton, Morpeth. Carry House sold seven lambs to average £1843.
Another by Midlock Magic, a T25 lamb from J Hunter and Son, The Steel, made £1700.
Just behind on £1500 was a T3 lamb from the Reed family's West Biggens flock from Lands Farm.
Tup lambs averaged £1162 with an 89% clearance while shearlings sold to £1100 from WS Robson and Co, Yatesfield.
