Duncryne Houdini, a Texel lamb from Kerr Jarvie’s Perthshire-based flock, has been sold privately for £40,000.
Backed by the best of genetics, he is sired by Hexel Geronimo, a 24,000gns tup that also bred Saltcotes He’s A Belter, the 45,000gns champion at Lanark, and out of a ewe by Rhaeadr Equalizer.
Full brother to the 22,000gns Duncryne Hakuna Matata sold at Carlisle earlier this month, Houdini, sold to John and Archie MacGregor, Allanfauld, Kilsyth; Alan Clark, Garngour, Lesmahagow, and Andrew Clark of the Teiglum flock from Blackhills, Carluke, with Mr Jarvie retaining an equal share.
