Hawick-based flockmaster Glen Wilson, purchased the top priced gimmer at 3000gns at a two-day show and sale of pedigree Texels at Skipton.
This was the reserve female from BI and BM Mosey, Blackdale flock, Gilling East. A daughter of Claybury Dunkirk, she is bred from a Craigdarroch Clint ewe. Mr Wilson also paid 2000gns for another gimmer from the same home.
The female champion, a gimmer from Angela Nairey of the Meinspride flock, Blackburn, realised 2200gns to B and R Lawson, Richmond.

Shearling rams sold to 2800gns twice from Martin Furness’ Westgate flock, Buxton. Both are by Maineview Four Square, with the first selling to the Priestley family, Kirkcambeck, and the other to Josh Ryder, Masongill.
Eve Hodge’s Greenarch flock, Huntlywood, reached 2600gns for Greenarch Great Scot. He sold to James Robertshaw and Eleanor Bradley, Thornton, Bradford.
Ram lambs peaked at 2200gns for the male champion, Alwent Hercules, a son of Strathbogie Yes Sir from Steven Nesbitt, Winston, Darlington. He is jointly owned by Michael Dent and was bought by Mark Keighley of the Manderley flock, Leathley.
