Two gimmers achieved 1000gns each at Lawrie and Symington’s second pedigree show and sale of Dutch Spotted sheep at Lanark.
First to reach this price was the pre-sale champion Polka-Dot Gypsophilia, a gimmer from Jimmy Bell and Rachel Buckle, Birniehall, Carluke. A daughter of Diamond Emperor, she is bred from an imported ewe. She sold to the judge Alistair McKerrow of the Champany flock, Linlithgow.
Also making 1000gns was Tardoes Gale Cecilia from Mathew and Janice Simpson, Tardoes, Kilmarnock. Sired by Tardoes Eco Warrior she is out of Tardoes Cecili and sold to Robert Hamilton of the Shawtonhill flock, Chapelton.
