The principal show and sale of Blackface wedder lambs at United Auctions’ Dalmally centre saw 6176 lambs average £62.94 – up £9 on the year.
Pre-sale show judge, James Robertson, Lathrisk, awarding the champion pen to Clachan Farms which later realised £99.50, while the second prize pen from A and M Buchanan, Achnaba, topped the section at £104.
Other breeds sold to £138 for Texels from Lephinkill.
