Jock Currie’s Carlinside flock dispersal, attracted the lead price of 3800gns at the Scottish Texel Sheep Breeders’ Club sale at Lanark.

The flock from outside Lanark, was led by a one-crop ewe by Mossknowe Entity, and bred from a home-bred ewe by Farmhill Alexis. She sold jointly to Archie and John MacGregor, Allanfauld, Kilsyth, and Andrew Clark, of the Teiglum flock, Blackhill, Carluke

A similarly aged ewe by Charben Elite and out of another Alexis daughter, made 2000gns selling to Alan Clark, Garngour flock, North Garngour, Lesmahagow.

Two ram lambs achieved 2000gns. First was Ettrick Horizon from Gordon and David Gray, Sunnycroft, Selkirk. A son of the 45,000gns Ettrick Grey Goose, he is out of a New View Electrifying daughter and travels down to Wales with J and L Phillips, Gwern Gwalia, Gwynedd.

On the same price tag was Clarks Helter Skelter from Dye Clark, Lee Meadow, Carluke. This March-born lamb is sired by Haymount Greatest Showman and out of a Procters Eye Catcher bred ewe. Final bidders were T and CM Kelsall, Brown Brook, Chipping, Preston.
