A top price of £195 was paid for entries from Richard Carruthers, Merkland, at C and D Auctions' show and sale at of Scotch Mule ewe lambs at Dumfries, which averaged £160.10, up £43.50 on the year.
The pre-sale show, judged by David Morgan, Herefordshire, saw the championship rosette presented to a pen from T and T Anderson and Son, Dornal, which sold at £185. The reserve winners, from D Henderson, Sweetshawhead, realised £182.
Blackface ewe lambs peaked at £115 from Kirkland Farming, Kirkland and Scotch Mule breeding ewes reached £188 and £182 from Grange Partnership, Barnmuir.
