Some 8000 breeding and store sheep forward for Harrison and Hetherington’s annual sale at St Boswells met a flying trade with all averages up on the year.

Highlight of the day was the sale of a black Texel gimmer, kindly donated by the Grieve family selling on behalf of Sepsis UK in memory of Catherine Croxford-Adams. The gimmer sold on several occasions and alongside other donations raised £4000.

Top price was £360 for a pen of Blue Texel gimmers from The Chapel, followed by £350 for Texel cross gimmers from Clarabad Mill.
