Ayrshire Blue Texel breeder David Alexander of the Millside flock, Galston, made his presence felt at a pedigree Blue Texel and Badger Face Texel show and sale at Skipton, when selling the top price lot at 1100gns.
His gimmer is sired by Walston Fireboy, out of a Millside ewe, and sold to T and AC Patchett, Leeming Bar. The same buyers paid 1000gns for Silver Birch Hop, a gimmer from Elsa McKechnie, Long Gill Farm, Wigglesworth. She is sired by Glenrock Franco.

Badger Faced Texels sold to a top of 800gns for Fredbelles Eldorado, a March-born ram lamb by Cleenagh De La Cruise from Ben Hyde, Ripponden. He found a new home with R and SA Rawsthorn, Grange-over-Sands.
Becki Dakin, Rathbone flock, Ravenshaw Farm, Eldroth, claimed the champion and reserve honours. Her champion, a gimmer by Cleenagh Darcy, made 600gns selling to Stuart Wood, Woodies flock, Skene, Aberdeenshire.
Runner up was a shearling ram by the same sire which made 650gns to New York Farms, Silsden.
