The horned gimmer by Poorton Discovery D533, sold having run with Richhill F1807 to Messrs Roper, Cleator Moor, Cumbria.

The male champion, Bennachie Famous Grouse, made 700gns for Berwickshire breeder, James Royan, Putton Mill, Duns.

His polled shearling is sired by Ballytaggart Dizzee Rascal and out of a Ballytaggart-bred. Gibston Farms, Keith, were the final bidders who also went to the same money for a horned shearling ram from the Bennachie flock. This tup is by a Wambrook sire and out of a Sandy Lane-bred dam.

The second prize gimmer made 600gns for Devon-based breeders R and D Rossiter, Burton Farm. This poll Dorset is a daughter of Blackhill Zabo and sold to Dennis Rankine, Lochgelly, Fife, carrying a pair of lambs to Downkillybegs Eagle Eye.

The same home topped the ram lambs at 700gns, with Huish George. He is a son of Downkillybegs Eagle Eye and headed home with Messrs Prescott, Penrith.
