Christine and Robert Calvin are selling a gimmer from each of their Ballyhivistock flocks to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and The Boom Foundation
Due to sudden illness, the Ballyhivistock Texel and Rouge De L’Ouest adult flocks of Robert and Christine Calvin are being offered for sale at Ballymena Livestock Market on August 5, at 7pm.
No strangers to the Texel and Rouge De L’Ouest sheep circles in Ireland and the UK, the couple is selling a gimmer from each flock with all proceeds donated to Macmillan Cancer Support and the Boom Foundation, respectively.
The EU export sale should provide established and prospective new breeders an opportunity to purchase quality stock from a genuine flock dispersal managed under commercial conditions. No embryo transfer work has been undertaken and as such the ewes have natural maternal instincts and rear their own lambs.
