A two-shear ram from Derbyshire-based Sam Driver attracted the lead price of 1050gns at a breed sale of Dorset Horns, Poll Dorset and Berrichon sheep at Worcester Auction Mart.

Sale leader was the Dorset, Sandy Lane Felix, a son of Bamburgh Celtic Warrior out of a dam by Maineview Balboa. He found a new home with H Cory, Vale of Glamorgan.

Another from Mr Driver's flock from Glossop, made 800gns again to Mr Cory. this was Sandy Lane Fox, a son of Maineview Emoji, out of a dam by Huish Alpha.

Second top price was 900gns paid for the shearling ram, Wisley Forever from WL French, Launceston. He is sired by Ballytaggart Enzo, out of a dam by Bencran Abracadabra and sold to Messrs Keith and Heaps, Seagrave, Melton Mowbray.

Females peaked at 720gns for a ewe lamb from Rob Harvey, Suffolk, purchased by LA Borkar and R Davies, Glastonbury.

Berrichons forward for the breed society's Early Choice sale peaked at 1000gns for Tooloos Zombie Slayer a shearling ram from Paul and Ollie James, Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

The tup which was bred by the Digweed family and purchased as a lamb last year, is by Yarburgh Wolfgang and out of a Marshland Victory daughter. He sold to MJ Brice, Tiverton, Devon.

Second top was 575gns given for a shearling rams, from Brian Evans' Janos flock from, Trefeglwys, Powys. This son of Marshland CIM21/0161 is out of a daughter of a Gynin tup and sold to Heritage Farms, Oxhill, Warwickshire.
