Texel and Texel cross lambs forward for the North of Scotland Club show at United Auctions' sale at Huntly, sold to £182 or 405p per kg for the champion pair from George Lumsden, Meikle Begshill, Drumblade.
The lambs which scaled 47kg were purchased by Forbes Raeburn Butchers, Huntly. The reserves from Messrs Buchan, Monlettie, Maud, weighed in at 40kg and realised at £162.
Overall, 351 new season lambs sold to a top of £182 or 405p per kg for the champion pair, to average 295p, with ewes selling to £295 for a pair of pure Texels from Auchenbreddie, Insch.
