The inaugural Charollais Supreme sale staged at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, saw a top price of 10,000gns and 62 lots change hands to average £1967.05.
Sale leader was Graham Foster's Springhill Casino Royale from Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland, which sold to a trio of Irish breeders – Messrs McCafferty, Trusk, Ballybofey, Co Donegal; Messrs Brophy, Kellistown, Co Carlow; Messrs Fahey, Letterkenny, Co Dongal – with Mr Foster retaining a quarter share.
Casino Royale is sired by Boyo Bravemansgame, a tup purchased at Worcester last year for 24,000gns, with the dam bought at the Oakchurch dispersal sale as a ewe lamb for 2500gns.
Mr Foster had a field day, selling other ram lambs by the same sire at 8000gns, 5500gns, 5000gns and 4500gns.

The December-born ram lamb, Springhill Crackerjack made 8000gns. He is out of a home-bred dam that goes back to Ballynoe House Playboy and sold down to Devon with Messrs Watts, Newton Abbot.
Maternal brother the 8100gns record priced ewe lamb, Springhill What a Beauty, Crackerjack is also a maternal sister to Springhill Tina Turner which was inter-breed champion Balmoral 2019.
Springhill Class Act made 5500gns when the hammer fell to Messrs Douglas, Ballybay, Co Monaghan, Eire. This lamb is out of a Logie Durno Untouchable daughter.

Springhill Craftsman was knocked down at 5000gns. He is out of a Boyo Walk This Way-sired dam and sold to Messrs Thomas, Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
Bravemansgame was also behind Springhill Corker that made 4500gns when finding a new home with Messrs Wales, Thackwood, Carlisle.
Ben Radley, Loaningfoot, Dumfries, was another in the money and achieved a personal best when his fourth prize ram lamb, Loaningfoot Cotten Eyed Joe, sold for 8000gns to Russell Gray, Langside, Lanark. Sired by Boyo Vancouver, he is out of a home-bred ewe by Logie Durno Ultimatum that was breed champion at Ayr in 2022.

Top price for the Ingrams, Logie Durno, Pitcaple, Inverurie, was 5000gns paid by Yorkshire breeders Messrs Bamforth, Huddersfield. Sired by Foxhill Va Va Voom, a tup that has bred rams to 15,000gns, this lamb is out of a home-bred ewe that goes back to Cannahars Super Star.
Logie Durno also took 3500gns for a ram lamb by Cavick Blood Diamond. He was purchased by the Sloan family, Dumfries.
A gimmer from Glenn Baird, topped the females at 1400gns when selling across to Northern Ireland with Messrs Tener, Dungannon, Co Tyrone. A daughter of Loanhead Virgil Van Dijk, she is out of a Artnagullion ewe that goes back to Loanhead Upper Class.
