Strong demand for Dalesbred sheep at the Association show and sale at Skipton, saw an increased turnout of 158 heads meet a 100% clearance and a top price of 600gns for a shearling ram.
The top price was paid for an entry from BD and PM Gill and Son, Yarlsber, Ingleton, which sold locally to the Hayton and Stocks Farming Partnership in Bolton Abbey.
Wigglesworth father and daughter, Godfrey and Alison Haygarth, of Aigden Farm, produced the champion and sold another shearling ram for 500gns to KT Anderson, Co Durham.
