Logie Durno was again in the money in the Charollais ring, with the Ingram family’s flock from Pitcaple, Inverurie, producing the lead priced lot at £2200.
Their shearling ram, is a son of the 16,000gns Foxhill Va Va Voom, and was knocked down to Gary Fleming, Nrther Brotherston, Herriot.
The same home sold another at £1700 to James Whiteford, Tercrosset, Brampton. He is by Foxhill Walkabout which was purchased for 17,000gns as a lamb, with another by the same sire making £1600 to Philip D Christian, Mauguoldonchan.
Top price from Jonathan and Janet Wales and sons, Thomas, Joe and Harry, of the Thackwood flock from Carlisle was £1500 paid for a son of the 22,000gns Ffrwd Top Notch – purchased as an aged ram. He was knocked down to Norman Balcomb and Son, Horses Bones, Kent.
Averages: 108 shearling rams, £750.28 (+£94.20 for 11 more); 20 ram lambs, £471.50 (-£8.98 for one less).
