A yearling Limousin cross heifer from Messrs Huck, Sowerthwaite, Austwick, secured the championship and top price of £2700 at Harrison and Hetherington’s show and sale of store cattle at Kirkby Stephen, when selling to the judge, Alan Barnett, Shap.

The reserve championship was awarded to the first prize steer, a 10-month-old British Blue cross which sold for £1520 for Messrs Sedgley, Low Bank House, Barbon.
