A top price of 10,000gns was paid for a Welsh Black bull from EW and M Jenkins, Talybont, at the society's pedigree winter show and sale staged through Farmers Marts, Dolgellau.
Selling at this price was the May 2021-born bull, Tynygraig Samuel 5 which found a new home with WRP Jones and Co, Ysguboriau, Tywyn.
Next at 9500gns was reserve champion at the pre-sale show, Deicws Samuel 2, a similarly aged bull from GC Williams, Tyddyn Deicws, Abergele, that was knocked down to Gwenfair Jones and Sons, Hafod yr Esgob Isaf, Cwmtirmynach.

The same stable also received 6500gns for the May 2021-born bull, Deicws Samuel, purchased by RE Griffiths, Llwyn Mafon Uchaf, Criccieth.
Pre-sale judges, Hugh Williams and Jessica Evans-Williams, Partneriaid Dolaugwyn, Bryncrug, Tywyn, backed their decision and bought their choice of champion at 8500gns. This was the six-year-old bull, Caerynwch Banner 18th, from TW Williams and Co, Dolgellau.
Just behind, on 8000gns, Machreth Benjamin 15, a rising two-year-old from Lewis R Williams, Tyddyn Bach, Dolgellau, was knocked down to DW Jenkins, Neuadd yr Ynys, Machynlleth.
Leading the female trade was the section champion, Dysynni Lowri 4 from WT Davies, Waenfach, Llanegryn, which sold in calf to Llechwedd Ebrillwr 12, for 2900gns to GP Lynch, Brynffynnon, Corwen.
