A huge crowd of buyers and enthusiasts was forward for the dispersal of John and Robin Templeton’s esteemed Carnell Ayrshire herd which goes back more than 100 years.
Such was the demand for these cattle boasting deep rooted pedigrees and high production figures, that milking cows and heifers averaged in excess of £2100.
Furthermore, young heifer calves sold to a top of 2800gns on two occasions, to average £1215.
