Patrick Fitzsimmons, purchased the top price of 5500gns at the Northern Ireland Simmental Breeders Club Autumn club sale in Swatragh Livestock Market.
This came in the form Corrick Patriot from Cecil McIlwaine Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone, having been selected as champion by the judge, Connor Loane, Cookstown.
This bull is by the AI sire Curaheen Drifter, which sold for €18,500, and out of Corrick Cherry.

An 80% clearance rate was witnessed for the bulls sold, having averaged £3675 (up £214 on the year).
The reserve male champion, Wellbray Papa, realised 5400gns for David McElmurray, Pomeroy, Co Tyrone. A son of Ranfurly Klinker he is bred out of Wellbray Indora, and sold to Sean McAlister.
Eamon McCloskey, Kilrea sold Drumagarner Peter for 3400gns to commercial farmer, Ian Brown. This July 2023 born bull is sired by Dermotsown Delboy and out of Drumagarner Shannon. The female champion went to Knockreagh Princess from Val and Conrad Fegan, Rostrevor, which later realised 4100gns. A daughter of Omorga Dorcas she was knocked down to Brain Dooher for his Shacon pedigree herd.
Drumacritten Juniper took the blue and white sash for the Nelson family, Rosslea Co Fermanagh, and later made 3800gns when selling to William Johnston, Co Fermanagh. She is sired by Auchorachan Hercules and out of Drumacritten Gaby.
A 100% clearance rate was achieved among the Simmentals cashing in at £3439.
