Dyfri Trooper secured the lead price of 6000gns at the Limousin sale at Brecon for the society president Aled Edwards, Llandovery.
This third prized November 2022-born bull is the first bull to be offered for sale by the French National show junior champion, Narko. Double F94L, he is out of the Fenomen daughter Dyfri Oasis and found a new home with MA Lean and Sons, Pyle, Bridgend.
The reserve overall and reserve senior champion, Woodmarsh Tank from the Gould family, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, was next in the money at 5500gns. A son of the 65,000gns Aultside Meanmachine, his dam is Woodmarsh Remy, which goes back to Mereside Lorenzo. This 22-month-old with an F94L/NT821 myostatin pairing sold to G Jones, Brecon, Powys.

The same home sold the May 2023-born bull, Woodmarsh Umpire, for 5000gns to AL Davies and Son, in LLangammarch Wells, Powys. Reserve junior champion, he is a son of the 18,000gns Westpit Omaha, and out of the Goldies Fortress-sired Goldies Melissa.
Nealford UK was the pre-sale champion for JH Neale and Son, Launceston, Cornwall, which realised 5000gns, having been selected by the judge Jac Thomas of the Dafolog prefix. This March 2022-born bull is sired by the 17,000gns Loosebeare Nelson, and out of Nealford Joyous, a Procters Cavalier daughter. This bull, with a NT821/Q204X myostatin combination, goes on to work in Bishop Auckland for AC Simpson and Son.
Another on the same money was the 18-month-old bull Deri Universe from TB Griffiths, LLangain, Carmarthenshire. Homozygous polled and double F94L, both his sire Romarin and dam Nakota were purchased from the Champeval herd in France. He sold to MD Pryce, Shrewsbury.
Heifers sold to 3800gns for the female champion, Rhiwllech Underwater from DM Howells, Port Talbot, West Glamorgan. She now heads to Aberdeenshire with G Morrison, Moray, being a daughter of Petteril Ravello and out of Rhiwllech River.
