Limousin heifers from the late George Dent, The Bungalow, Gordon House Farm, Cockfield, secured both the champion and reserve honours at Darlington Farmers Auction Marts’ show and sale and later sold for £1680 and £1670 respectively.
Steers averaged £1256 (+£82) whilst heifers levelled at £1142 (+£137).
Topping the sale at £1910 was Aberdeen Angus steers from B and B Kitching and Son, Elstob Hill Cottage, whilst heifers peaked at £1830 for a Limousin from TW West.
Store lambs averaged £88, having topped at £146 for Beltex lambs from CA and J Kipling, Stone Close.
