Topping Harrison and Hetherington's annual show and sale of spring-born suckled calves at St Boswells, at £1760 and 517p per kg was a Limousin cross heifer from Messrs Rennie, Sydenham.
Averages were up on the year, with bullocks and heifers cashing in at 345.13p (+22p) and 335.72p (+30p) respectively.
Mark Ross, Wester Middleton, produced both the champion and reserve, with the supreme going to a 365kg Charolais cross bullock which made £1680, and the runner up, a 355kg Limousin cross heifer, which realised £1560.
Store sheep sold to £108 on two occasions, for Texels from Bhalu, Huntershall, and for North Country Cheviots from Headshaw, Lauder.
