A joint top of 5000gns was achieved at the reduction sale from the Morven herd of pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle from Neil Massie jnr.
First to achieve that was a cow and calf outfit purchased by Ruairdh MacFarline, Quixwood, Duns.
The 2021-born cow, Morven Duchess X055 is sired by Morven Kaiser and out of Morven Duchess T016. She sold with her April-born bull calf, Morven Dynamite A099, by Skaill Emperor.
The in-calf heifer, Morven Kristina Y060, made the same money when selling to Carskiey estate, Southend, Campbeltown. This March 2022-born heifer is a daughter of Foggie Easy Alex, bred from Morven Kristina, and sold served to Shadwell Black Magic.
