A NEW centre record was achieved at Aberdeen and Northern Marts' Quoybrae centre, when the champion, a 323kg Limousin cross heifer from WM and A Alexander, Quintfall, Lyth, made £4200, selling to Finn Christie Newton of Bulquhain, Inverurie.

Judge Ian Wisely, South Law, New Pitsligo found his reserve in a 321kg Limousin cross bullock from the same home which realised £2600 to Balfour Ballie, Sebay Farm, Tankerness.

Weaned calf heifers (188) averaged 351p (+40.6p on the year) while weaned calf bullocks (244) cashed in at 347.8p (+22.8p).

Charolais crosses topped the bullocks at 435.3p for a 255kg entry from Stitley, Claredon and to £1490 for a 467kg Charolais cross from Reisgill, Lybster.

Store bullocks (11) cashed in at 283.7p having sold to 312.2p for a 490kg Limousin cross from West Catchery and to £1560 for a 516kg Limousin cross from Bluewhin, Borrowston.

Heifers (18) peaked at 328p for a 372kg Charolais cross from East Murkle, Murkle and to £1490 for a 513kg Limousin cross from Upper Northfield, Wick.

Breeding rams (30) sold to £620 for a Texel shearling from East Kirk, Kirk.
