A Charolais bullock from JM and EM Neve, Riggfoot, topped C and D Auction Marts’ show and sale of 535 store cattle at Longtown when selling for £1920.
Judge Elaine Sedgewick, Longmyers, Durham, awarded the championship to a Limousin bullock consigned by WH and DA Gass, Nunscleugh, Bewcastle, which later realised £1800.
Runner up was a Charolais bullock from Messrs Bell, Low Houses, Brampton, which made £1890.
