UK tractor registrations have again fallen on the month and the year, with the latest figures from the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) revealing 899 units were bought in September 2024.
The monthly total of 899 machines is 19% down on the level recorded in September 2023 and 17% below the average for the same month over the previous five years. Interestingly, the September figure is lowest since 2015.
The total number of machines bought in the first nine months of 2024 now stands at 8224 which represents a 15% decline on the January-September 2023 figures or 13% behind the average for the opening nine months of this year.
