A gimmer, a shearling ram and a tup lamb all achieved the joint top price of 1800gns at the Welsh National Texel sale at Welshpool.
First of these was a gimmer from Messrs Boden and Davies’ Sportsmans flock. This Haymount Fandabidozi daughter is out of an Auldhouseburn-bred dam by Sportsmans A Star and sold to William Ridge, Church Stretton.
Top priced shearling was Corras General from Robert and Nesta Watkins, which sold to W Gravell, Machen. Sired by Roxburgh Deadly, he is out of a dam by Clun Captain I.
Leading the ram lamb trade at 1800gns was Thornbury Heyday from Nick Legge. A son of the 42,000gns Ettrick Grey Goose, out of a dam by Usk Vale Champagne Charlie, he was knocked down to AJI and MD Jones, Pembrokeshire.

Knap Head Honcho, a ram lamb from Robert Cockburn, realised 1500gns when selling to D Thomas, Dinas. This Auldhouseburn Gazza son is out of Knap Daisy Duke.
Averages: six shearling rams, £1141; 29 ram lambs, £826.60; 15 gimmers, £754.60
