The pre-sale champion Boclair Rubels Apple Red went on to secure the top price of 4000gns at the June Border and Lakeland Club sale for David and John Brewster, Boclair, Glasgow.

The sale leader sold to Scott Forsyth of Baltier, Whithorn, who got for their money a Hoogerhorst DG Oh Rubels-Red daughter, bred from the Ex92 classified, Boclair Jordy Apple Red 2.

Judge Gary McCormick of the Ceeingred Holstein herd, Dumfries found his reserve in Boclair Lambda Barbara from the same home. This heifer is sired by Farnear Delta-Lambda and out of Boclair Bankroll Barbara 3. She realised 2900gns when the hammer fell to the Millar family, Kirkpatrick Fleming.

Five entries sold for 2800gns, with four being purchased by Messrs Jackson, Torthorwald, Dumfries. First to achieve that was Berryholme Morris Rae from the Wrights, Berry Holme, Kendal. This three-year-old is by Peak Sltamorris and out of Berryholme Dempsey Rae 0.

Matching that price was the April 2021-born, Wormanby Dalliance Madrigal from Wormanby Farms, Carlisle. A daughter of Wilder Dalliance she is bred from Wormanby Dorcy Madrigal.

Denmire Milano Miss America, from Messrs Dennison, Scales Farm, Ulverston, was next. A Lebold Dreamview Milano daughter, this February 2022-born heifer is out of Denmire Challenger Miss America.

Two cows from Brian and Val Davidson, and son, Craig, Errolston, Gretna, also made 2800gns – Errolston Repairman FH Ricki. By VVH Repairman, she is out of Errolston For Hero Ricki ET.

Messrs Mackie, Kilsyth, bought the final 2800gns lot – Errolston Formidable Ba Ricki, a May 2022-born entry by Errolston Formidable bred from Errolston Jacoba Ba Ricki.
