Some 444 sheep forward at the Craig Wilson sale saw 195 lambs average 360p per kg and sell to 390p for Blue Texels from J Cannon, Redbrae with price per head reaching £190 for Texels from T Wallace, Airyhassen.
Hoggs sold to £170 for Suffolks from J and D Morrison, Culmalzie and to 322p for Texels from R Templeton and Co, Carslae.
Cast sheep realised £181 for Texel cross ewes from Carslae.
Dumfries
Texels topped the hogg trade at the C and D Auction Marts sale reaching £169 per head from A McKune, Townhead and 300p per kg from Gillenbie.
Spring lambs sold to 391p for Suffolks from Hartbush and £190 for Texels from M and G Barr, Meikle Kirkland.
Cast sheep reached £196 for Texel ewes from North Cowshaw.
Longtown
An entry of 6505 sheep forward at the C and D Auction Marts sale.
Some 285 spring lambs averaged 414.7p per kg and sold to 444p for Texels from HM Martindale, The Land, Ecclefechan. Price per head achieved £218 for Suffolks from Beckfoot.
Hoggs (3065) levelled at 300.5p and reached 418p and £230 for Beltex from G Johnston, Townhead of Culloch, Dalbeattie.
Cast sheep sold to £320 for a Charollais tup from B Miskelly, Boulintogle, Caithness.
Cast cattle realised £1651 for a Beef Shorthorn from D and T Bradley-Farmer, Wester Parkgate, Dumfries and 253p for the same breed from H Graham, Holme House, Walton.
Stirling (UA)
United Auctions sold 5254 sheep consisting of 3707 hoggs, 276 lambs, and 1271 cast sheep.
Hoggs averaged 325.19p per kg and sold to 419p and to £224 per head for Beltex from both Luckenburn and Heylipol respectively.
New season lambs topped at 452p and £212 for Texels from Blinkbonny and Pyeston respectively.
Cast sheep achieved £296 for Texel ewes from North Dorlaithers.
Stirling (Cally)
Limousins topped the Caledonian Marts sale with heifers and bullocks averaging 288.638p and 270.70p per kg respectively.
Heifers made 320p or £1965 per head from JH and NT Turnbull, Meadowend.
Bullocks sold to 315p or £2042 for another Limousin from the same home.
Young bulls reached 285p or £1870 for a British Blue cross from L Laird and Sons, Lochhead.
Cast cattle averaged 185.78p and sold to 231p for a Limousin from J and J Wylie, Knockhouse and to £1790 for a Limousin from J Porter, Mansfield.
At Tuesday’s sheep sale new season lambs levelled at 409.97p and sold to 480p and £215 for Texels from HT Shanks, Easter Cash.
Hoggs topped at £220 for Texels from J Roberts, Easter Craigduckie and at 393p for Beltex from G and J Davie, Harviesmailing.
Cast sheep reached £214 for Texel ewes from Easter Cash.
