Some 364 sheep sold through Craig Wilson’s Auction Mart where hoggs sold to £220 per head for Texels from A and J Wright, Trayboyack Farms or 400p per kg for Beltex from F Allison, Glenstables.
Cast sheep sold to £160 for a Beltex cross ewe from J Wright, Dinmurchie.
Dumfries
Texels topped the trade at the C and D Auctions Marts’ sale at £220 and 442p from H Hamlet, Garloff.
Cast sheep sold to £198 for a Charollais tup from Millantae.
Longtown
An entry of 6676 sheep sold at the C and D Auction Marts’ sale saw 3884 hoggs average 386.5p per kg, having sold to 467p from MJ Lawson, Pasture House, Wigton, or £300 for Texels from H Cockburn and Partners, Kingside, Peebles.
Cast sheep reached £305 for Texel ewes from BS Forrester, Green Hill Head.
Cast cattle sold to 216p for a Simmental cow from Dunach Estate, Oban and to £1206 for a Whitebred from M Welter, Kernal Rigg, Roweltown.
Stirling (UA)
United Auctions sold 6817 sheep with 5927 hoggs averaging 380.41p per kg having sold to 532p for Beltex from Easter Ochtermuthill, or £266 for Texels from Kinnaird.
New season lambs (27) averaged 412.66p and sold to 457p or £238 for Charollais from Langside.
Cast sheep hit a top of £305 for Texel ewes from Townhead.
Stirling (Cally)
Bullocks and heifers averaged 280p and 294p per kg respectively at Caledonian Marts’ sale, with the former selling to 310p or £2170 per head for a Limousin from AA and J Brand, Nethermyres, Auchtermuchty.
Heifers reached 330p for a Limousin from Nethermyres and to £2055 for a British Blue from D Nelson, Cuttlehill, Crossgates.
Young bulls sold to 285p for a British Blue cross from L Laird and Sons, Lochhead and to £1915 for an Aberdeen Angus from J Cameron, Gartvaigh, Southend, Campbeltown.
Cast cattle averaged 197.51p and sold to 241p or £1770 from J and M Drysdale, Kinnesswood.
On Tuesday, hoggs averaged 354.54p having sold to 457p and £220 for Texels from I Murrie, Meadowfield Farm and S and JE Andrew, Letter Farm respectively.

New season lambs (21) averaged 458.8p and sold to 538.1p or £226 for 42kg Charollais from Meiklebogs, Gordonstown.

Some 2193 hoggs averaged 359p with top prices of 458p for Beltex from Messrs Laird, Yeldabrek Farm, Burray and £247 for a Texel from Messrs Gibson, Cowgrove Farm, Galston, paid.
Cast sheep (1058) averaged £120.53 and sold to £295 for Texel ewes from Messrs Campbell, Strawfrank Farm, Carstairs Junction.

An entry of 1885 sheep was forward for Craig Wilson’s sale on Monday where 1589 hoggs averaged 267.4p per kg having sold to 449p for Beltex from Messrs Robertson, Creochhill.
Top price per head was £218 paid for Beltex from Messrs Stevenson, Balcaimie and Texels from Messrs Robb, Chalmerston, Messrs Seton, Rushaw, and Messrs Heads, Aitkenhead.
Cast sheep (296) sold to £239 for a Beltex cross tup from W Young Ltd, Skerrington Mains.
On Tuesday, heifers (13) averaged 310.54p and sold to 337p for a Limousin cross from J Young, Lanemark, New Cumnock with bullocks to 310p for a Limousin cross from the same home.
Cast cattle (80) reached £2000 for an Aberdeen Angus from G Templeton, Knowe.
Dingwall
Dingwall and Highland Marts sold 522 sheep, with 312 old season lambs averaging 345.6p per kg having sold to 387p for 46kg Texel crosses from Pitcalnie Holdings, Nigg or to £218 for a 65.5kg Texel cross from Easter Dalziel, Dalcross.
Cast sheep sold to £248 for Texel cross ewes from Woodend, Killearnan.
Castle Douglas
Texels topped Wallets Marts’ sale on Tuesday where 411 hoggs sold to £257 per head from Messrs Armstrong, Farhills and to 412.7p per kg from Messrs Sproat, Lennox Plunton. Hoggs averaged 355.34p.
Cast sheep (234) sold to £239 for a Texel tup from Messrs McMurray, Lagg Farm.
Kirkby Stephen
At Harrison and Hetherington's sale on Tuesday evening, some 2640 hoggs sold to average 404.64p per kg having sold to 611.5p and £250 for Beltex crosses from Messrs Phillips, Fir Tree Farm, Harrogate.
Cast sheep (717) reached £302 for Texel ewes from H and B Wharton, Galloper Rise, Tebay.
