Blackfaces sold to £141.50 from J Douglas and Sons, Barlaughlan which also led the per kg section at 314p.
The 104 cast sheep attained a top of £121 for Texel tups from Andrew Johnstone, No2 South Balfern, whilst ewes sold to £175 for more of the same from G Hurcomb, Bankhead.
Wooler
Harrison and Hetherington sold 423 hoggs to top at £192 from IF Murray, Shepherds Cottage.
The sale of cast sheep peaked at £191 for a Beltex cross ewe from JR Walton, Grange Moor.
Stirling (Cale)
At Caledonian Marts' sale of heifers averaged 316p having sold to 340p on two occasions for Limousins from Ross Brothers, Wardhead, Strichen and to £2289 for a British Blue cross from R Cook, Kinneil Mill, Linlithgow.
Bullocks cashed in at 299p and reached 335p on two occasions for Limousins from W Dandie and Sons, Learielaw, Broxburn or to £2305 for a Charolais from AG Baillie, Blackdub, Stirling , whilst bulls sold to 310p for a British Blue cross from L Laird, Lochhead, East Wemyss and to £2664 for a British Blue from C Dick, Taylorton.
The 67 OTM cattle levelled out at 204p and reached a top of 290p for a Simmental from Glenside Farms, Stirling and to £2020 for an Aberdeen Angus from Caldcoates Beef, Malletsheugh.
A small show of 38 spring lambs met a strong trade averaging 333p with prices reaching 386p and £175 for a Texel cross Beltex from HT Shanks, Easter Cash.
Hoggs topped at 362p and to £175 for Beltex from G and J Davie, Harviesmailing, Denny, to cash in at 272p, whilst cast ewes attained £250 for a Texel from R Mcnee, Woodend, Armadale.
Stirling (UA)
United Auctions sold 5273 prime hoggs to level at 294.44p, with Beltex making £183 and 418p from Easter Ochtermuthill.
The154 new season lambs cashed in at 330.88p with prices peaking at £188 for Texels from Easter Ochtermuthill and 364.24p for more of the same from Chalmestone.
The 899 cast sheep witnessed Texels from Elmscleugh lead the charge at £294, with Bluefaced Leicesters topping the tups at £180 from Lahill Craig.
Darlington
Trade remained firm at Darlington Farmers Auction Mart’s weekly sale, where 53 bulls were topped at £2500 for a 32-month-old Salers bull from Rigel Pedigree, Middleton-on-Leven or to 321p for a 769kg Limousin from LS Staley of Bluestone House, Marwood.
Heifers and steers levelled at 294p and 204p, respectively, with steers reaching £2348 for a 748kg Limousin from I Marshall and Sons, Hope House Farm or to 319p for another of the same from WJ Scott Ltd, Low Leam Farm.
Heifers reached 351p for a 557kg Limousin from Aaron Armstrong, Coxhoe and to £2210 for a 674kg Limousin heifer from Barker Farming Partnership, Scorton.
Some 31 spring lambs saw Texels from East Mellwaters Farm lead at 385p and to £168 for more of the same from RI Jones, Whitby.
The 1202 hoggs balanced out at 288p having been topped at 364p for British Rouge from Ian and Ailsa Teasdale, Beadlam Rigg and £201 for a pair of Texels from E Moralee, Langley Park.
Cast ewes attained £190 for a Texel ewe from DG and PD Ayre, Teesdale.
Thainstone
Limousin crosses led Aberdeen and Northern Marts’ bullock section at 327p for a 585kg entry from Whiteside, Tullynessle, and £2684.70 for a 855kg Limousin from Easterton of Lenabo, Mintlaw, to level at 293p.
Heifers averaged 302.9p having sold to 331p for a 645kg British Blue from Stoneyhill, Keith-hall, and £2150.25 for a 705kg Blonde De’Aquitaine from Hillocks, Whiterashes.
Beef finished cows averaged £1717.06 and attained £2650 for a 872kg Limousin from Nether Savoch, Longhaven.
The 3933 hoggs balanced out at 297.5p and reached 376p for a 50kg Beltex from The Bothy, Rivehill and £200 for 61kg Texels from East Sandend, Cruden Bay.
Feeding sheep sold to £220 twice, firstly for a pure Texel from Clinterty, New Aberdour and secondly for Texels from Raemoir Road, Banchory.
Longtown
At C and D Auction Marts' sale of 4326 prime hoggs reached a top price of £200 for Beltex from CJ Roots, Kilnford Croft, Dumfries with Texel hoggs also selling at £200 from AR Bell and Son, Kirkton, Hawick or 378p again for Beltex hoggs from SA Lawson, Huntly Lodge, Huntly.
The section levelled at 297.9p with an SQQ of 301.0p.
A larger show 3406 cast ewes and rams witnessed Texel ewes top at £278 from Douganhill Farm, Orchardton Mains, Castle Douglas, whilst hill ewes attained £125 for Blackfaces from JI Cartner and Son, Blackwoodridgehouse, Waterbeck.
Rams sold to £270 for Texels from CJ Roots, Kilnford Croft, Dumfries.
St Boswells
Harrison and Hetherington's sale of prime cattle saw bullocks and heifers cash in at 298p and 307p, respectively.
Bullocks sold to £2230.96 from Dunslaw and 333p from Penston, whilst heifers attained £2157.12 from Learielaw and 346p from Broachrigg.
Cast cows reached £2231.30 from Wolfstar or to 297p from Birkenside, to level at 226p.
Suffolks from Broomilees led the new season lambs at £145 and 322.2p from Ladyflat, to average 320p, with hoggs to £184 for Beltex from Traprain and 358.7p for more of the same from Faughhill, to average 288p.
Cast sheep peaked at £165 for a pair of Suffolk cross ewes from D and A Redpath, Yett Farm.
Lanark
Limousins led Lawrie and Symington's sale with heifers selling to 340p and £2093 from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie, whilst bullocks attained 325p from Messrs Gray, Balquharrage Farm, Lennoxtown and £2096 from Messrs Taylor, South Arnloss Farm, Slamannan.
In the rough ring, beef cows attained £2210 from Messrs Craig, Shieldburn Farm, East Kilbride or to 271p from Messrs Rennie, West Torphin Farm, Bathgate.
Another decent show of 2558 prime hoggs topped at £171 for a Beltex from A MacLarty, Crawfordjohn Mill and to 332p for Beltex from Messrs Frame, Cronan, to average 278p.
The cast ewes reached £214 for Texels from The Bank, with tups to £180 for more of the same from High Parks.
Carlisle
Trade soared at Harrison and Hetherington's sale with bullocks topping at £2309.85 for 787kg from Messrs Nicholson, The Lake, Carlisle or to 318.5p for a 685kg Limousin cross from Messrs Bowe, Bothel Parks, Wigton.
Limousins also led the heifers at £2244.53 for 778kg entry from Messrs Hall, Prior Hall, Wigton or 327.5p for 575kg animal from Bothel Parks.
Another good entry of 75 prime bulls peaked at £2172.83 was a 783kg Limousin cross from Messrs Jarman, Brow Top, Workington and to 317.5p for a 599kg Limousin cross from Messrs Mitchinson, Beck House, Carlisle.
Amongst the cast cows, Mr Gate, Brackendene sold the top priced Charolais cow for £2171 with top per kg section led by Messrs Scott, Dinley Farm for two Bazadaise cows making 249.5p.
The firm also sold 129 spring lambs to £215 for Suffolk crosses from Charlotte Wilson, Evening Hill, Wigton or 455p for a pen of five of the same from ML Fell, Harley Croft, Wigton.
Hoggs sold to cash in at 300p with prices peaking at £210 for Texels from John Fell, Stanger Hill and to 500p for Beltex from G Cartmell, Holland Farm, whilst the 450 ewes sold to a top of £240 for Texels from Mohan Farms, Fivemiletown.
Ayr
Craig Wilson Marts’ sold a small selection of 39 spring lambs to level at 338p with trade topping at £169 and 412p for a pair of Texel crosses off JM Nisbet, Sorn Mains.
The 1435 hoggs reached £181 and 393p for a pen of Beltex from Blair Stevenson, Drumburle Farm, with the sale averaging 288.45p, whilst 254 cast sheep were led by Ian Fisher, Merrick Farm, Port Patrick peaking at £290 for a pair of Beltex tups.
The firm's sale of heifers and bullocks levelled at 310.66p and 328.27p, respectively.
Heifers peaked at 340p for a Limousin from the Smith family, North Boig or £2032.80 for a Limousin off Girvan Mains, whilst bullocks sold to 328p and £2050 for another of the same from North Boig.
Dingwall
Dingwall and Highland Marts’ sale saw heifers average 304.1p having sold to 321p per kg for a 585kg Limousin from Bridgend Farm, Dingwall or to £2051.90 for a 710kg Charollais cross also from Bridgend Farm, Dingwall.
Some 15 prime lambs peaked at 311p and £140 for a pen of 45kg Suffolks from Glendonan, Knockfarrel or £140 for a pen of 48kg Zwartbles from Cairnhill, Farr, to cash in at 300.4p.
The 653 hoggs averaged 277.7p and reached a top of 318p for a 45kg Suffolk from Fendom Farm, Tain and £155 for a pen of 55.5kg Texel crosses from 5c Balnabeen, Conon Bridge, whilst the 469 feeding sheep sold to £190 for a Roussin ram from Greenlands, Arabella.
Wigton
A nice show of prime cattle were sold at Hope Auctioneers where heifers sold to 309.5p and £2250.75 for a 658kg Limousin from DA Harrison and Co, Hill House, to level at 291.57p.
Bullocks reached 290.5p and £2033.50 for a 700kg Charolais from A and C Park, Sea View, to cash in at 290.5p.
The firm also sold 375 hoggs to a top of 483.8p for a pen of three 37kg Blue Texels from Messrs Fell,Stanger Hill or to £204 for a 54kg Beltex from GEH and SJ Stoddart, Hillside, to balance out at 321.96p.
Prime lambs attained £196 on two occasions for Beltex, firstly from Pat Rae, Greenah Hall and secondly from Messrs Miller, Allerby Hall or to 490p for 40kg Beltex from Allerby Hall, to level at 385.22p.
Topping the cast sheep at £200 was a Texel ewe from JB and EJ Peile Ltd, Greystoke Castle Farm.
