For the second year on the trot, sales of CNH tractors which includes New Holland and Case IH, have collectively overtaken John Deere in the UK.
Last year was the first year CNH superseded the American giant, and the figures from the Agricultural Engineers Association reveal that the 2021 UK market show their market share has increased.
The latest figures show CNH sold 4037 units which accounted for 28.7% of the total against the previous year of 3229 or 27.1%.
John Deere again came second in the rankings with 3558 unit sales which represents 25.3% of the UK market. They sold 401 more units but overall percentage sales were down 1.2%.

As a brand, however, John Deere sold the most number of tractors with 3558 unit sales followed by New Holland with 2682 units and MF in third with 1530.
AGCO which includes MF, Fendt and Valtra, sold 3087 units, accounting for 21.9% of the total market share, with MF taking half of that at 1530 and 10.9%.
The figures cover all power bands, including machines under 50hp. As always, competition law restrictions mean that AEA is not able to publish market share figures for tractors until 12 months have elapsed.
It is also worth remembering that the market was disrupted in 2020 and 2021 due to the effects Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting disruption to global supply chains and transportation, which may have had an impact on market shares.
