The final of the Scottish Association of Young Farmers (SAYFC) Tug of War competition comes to its culmination on Saturday at the Royal Highland Show – and the scene is set for another epic event as clubs battle it out on the ropes.
Last year saw Carluke YFC take the men's title, while Brechin YFC ladies earned their place in history with a first win in the ladies competition. This year, though, only the Brechin girls will go on to defend their title.
Teams have been battling it out recently to earn the right to compete at this prestigious event and those through to the finals are:
Ladies
Fife and Kinross Blue, Fife and Kinross Green, Brechin, Strathbogie, East Aberdeenshire, Callander, Biggar, Carluke, SSS Ladies.
Gents
Strathearn, Bathgate A, Fife and Kinross, East Aberdeenshire, Kinneff, West Aberdeenshire, Lesmahagow, Lanark, Crossroads, Callander.
