A charity rugby day at Stirling Rugby Club earlier this month raised a fantastic £7915.15 for Motor Neurone Disease.

Held on January 2, the Doddie Day event was a great success, as a Stirling County Select XV took on a Scottish Farmer Select XV, in support of the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.

Kilmarnock Rugby Club member and leader of the Farmers team, Stuart Muirhead, said: "It was an absolute privilege to be invited to such a historic rugby club to play in an invitation match to support My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and our old pal Doddie, he would have loved to see that bar full to the brim and everyone laughing after a very competitive match.

"Well done all the organisers and keep January 2, 2025, free as there is something brewing already. Total Respect!”
