FINDING maintenance provision for farmscale wind turbines should now be easier thanks to new cooperation between a group of companies which have agreed to share information, parts supply and technical knowledge to support a wide range of wind turbines.
The TMR Group is made up of Ecocel Renewables, Gael Energy, Plan Renewables and Grishipol Renewables and with be covering the whole of UK including the Scottish Islands, with expertise in turbine makes including Lely, Xant, Proven, C and F, Endurance, Gaia, WTN, and RRB Energy.
The group was formed because all of the founding companies could see that there was a real lack of support for servicing and repairs provision, especially for clients who were out of warranty.
The concept of the group is to share resources to help reduce downtime and provide a faster response and support for all wind turbine client throughout their regions, especially during this time of no tariffs, and with several manufacturers and servicing companies no longer around to provide support.
The group currently hold a large quantity of all necessary spare parts in their bases at East Kilbride, Tain, Mintlaw and soon south of the Border, and together have the largest engineer resource in small to medium Wind.
All TMR Group members will be on the Ecocel Renewables stand at the Royal Highland Show later this month if turbine owners want to go along for a chat about their machines.
